2013 - 284

Project 284 was a tote bag I made as a prize for a little knit/crochet-a-long I hosted on Ravely. The winner's favorite colors are purple, blue, and green, and her chosen themes were owls, dogs, and paisley. So, this is what I found in my stash. Hopefully she likes it! :) Date completed December 24, 2013.

2013 - 283

Project 283 was an apron for work (JoAnn's). I used up some stash fabric and trim, although the pattern is new. Turned out cute and have gotten lots of compliments. The first pic I thought maybe I could get the apron while wearing it but obviously that didn't quite work so I took a second one of it hanging on my door. :) Date completed December 21, 2013.

2013 - 282

Project 282 was finishing up an afghan for my best friend, Carrie. I participated in a square swap this year, and the goal was to get the squares put together in time to give the completed project to her by Christmas (and I just barely made it!). The squares came from all over the world and look pretty good together, I think. Date completed was December 19, 2013.

2013 - 281

Project 281 was a knitted snowman for one of my Christmas Swaps. The pattern is "Oatmeal the Snowman" (paid on Ravelry) and I used up some stash, three strands of Cascade 220 held together for the body, Moda Dea Ticker Tape for the scarf, and Lion Brand Wool Ease for the carrot nose. I ran out of time for the arms, so just used sparkly piper cleaners (to make them look snow-laden) instead of knitting them. Turned out very cute if I do say so myself. :) Date completed December 9, 2013.

2013 - 280

Project 280 was a dishcloth for one of my Christmas swaps. Pattern is Arrow Point out of a book and I used some stashed cotton. Date completed December 9, 2013.

2013 - 279

Project 279 was another stocking. This one is going to a deployed Navy sailor. The pattern is Glendalough Stocking (can be purchased on Ravelry) and I used stash Red Heart Holiday. Date completed November 28, 2013.

2013 - 278

Project 278 is the last square for my square swaps (Group 2 November angel square). I used Peaches n Creme from stash. Date completed was November 13, 2013.

2013 - 277

Project 277 was a Shrug/Vest using Moda Dea Ticker Tape from stash. It is being donated to St. Mary's Home as part of the Tidewater Knitting Guild of Virginia's Christmas party gift exchange (we donate items to a charity instead of swapping gifts with each other). Date completed November 10, 2013.

2013 - 276

Project 276 was a Christmas Stocking for a swap. The pattern is Glendalough Stocking (can be purchased on Ravelry) and I used Wool Ease from stash. Date completed was November 2, 2013.

2013 - 226 through 275

Projects 226 through 275 were 50 handmade greeting cards with a handwritten note inside. These were made and donated to the 127 young adult, away to college or deployed ministry. All materials came from stash and the date completed was October 27, 2013.

2013 - 225

Project 225 is Color Affection (paid on Ravelry) using PigeonRoof sock and Tess sock yarns. I wasn't paying attention, so section 3 has 10 repeats instead of only 8. Date completed October 19, 2013.

2013 - 224

Project 224 is a Christmas themed tote bag for one of my Christmas swaps. Used up stash fabric. Date completed October 18, 2013.

2013 - 216 through 223

Projects 216 through 223 are eight dishtowels for my Christmas swaps. Used up stash fabric and towels. Date completed October 16, 2013.

2013 - 215

Project 215 is an adapted version of "Age of Brass and Steam" (free on Ravelry). Used up some stashed Patons Lace and size 6 seed beads. Date completed October 2, 2013.

2013 - 210 through 214

Projects 210 through 214 are five zippered project bags for my Christmas swaps. Used up stash fabric. Date completed September 26, 2013.

2013 - 208 and 209

Projects 208 and 209 are two monsters made for a swap. Used up scrap yarn and adapted Gotta Love Me Monster and Wilfrid the Geek patterns (free on Ravelry). Date completed September 26, 2013.

To me, the big one looks a little like Shrek, so I figure the the small one must be his 'annoying little friend'. :)

2013 - 207

Project 207 is my second Max's Staircase Tam (free on Ravelry). Was originally made for my aunt who was just diagnosed with brain cancer, but ended up going into an Operation Christmas Child shoebox instead. Used up some acrylic Boutique yarn. Date completed September 20, 2013.

2013 - 206

Project 206 was a test-knit for WallisKnit's "By the Sea" shawl pattern. Used Jade Sapphire Silk/Cashmere. Date completed September 17, 2013. 

2013 - 205

Project 205 is a Yo, P2tog cowl using up an odd-ball skein of jewel-toned rayon. Date completed September 17, 2013.

2013 - 204

Project 204 is an adapted version of Here and There Hat (paid on Ravelry). Used three colors of Plymouth Encore and size 8 needles. Date completed September 17, 2013.

2013 - 202 and 203

Projects 202 and 203 are two dishcloths for a Rainbow swap. Used up some left-over cotton yarn and improvised the patterns. Date completed September 3 and 4, 2013.

2013 - 201

Project 201 is a pair of socks made for a swap. Used a modified version of Spot Check socks in the book Socks using Handpainted Sock yarn. Used Patons Kroy sock yarn. Date completed September 2, 2013. This project was entered in TKGV's 2013 knitting competition and won 1st place in the Sock category.

2013 - 199 and 200

Projects 199 and 200 are two more squares for my square swaps.

Group 2 October square, Lion Brand wool ease. Went to Germany. Date completed August 30, 2013.

Project 198 is Needles in a Peapod (paid on Ravelry) and used up some scrap Araucania Nature Wool. Date completed August 30, 2013. This was entered in TKGV's 2013 knitting competition and won 3rd place in the Felting category.

Project 197 is Snowflake (paid on Ravelry) in the 0-6 month baby size. Used Crystal Palace Bunny Hop and TLC Amore. Date completed August 29, 2013. This was entered in TKGV's 2013 knitting competition and won 3rd place in the Baby Items category.

2013 - 196

Project 196 is a Trilobite Hat (free pattern on Ravelry) made for a swap. Used Ella Rae Superwash received in a swap and size 9 needles. Date completed August 28, 2013.

Projects 192 through 195 are afghan squares for my square swaps.

 This was for Group 1 August Square, used Mission Falls 136 Merino and Ella Rae Superwash. Went to the UK. Date completed August 26, 2013.

Group 2 August Square, used Bamboo Pop and TLC Amore. Went to UK. Date Completed August 26, 2013.

 Group 1 September Square, used Ella Rae Superwash. Went to Canada. Date completed August 27, 2013.

2013 - 191

Project 191 is a knitted lap afghan in a chevron pattern (free on ravelry). I used up some Caron Simply Soft stash. Date completed was August 17, 2013. This was entered in TKGV's 2013 knitting competition and won 2nd place in the Afghan category.

Sorry, no pic. Was a bright blue and med. gray stripe and will be donated to TKGV's St. Mary's Christmas gifts in December.

2013 - 190

Project 190 is a worsted version of "Shades of Truth" wrap, a purchased pattern on Ravelry. I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease and Plymouth Encore on size 8 needles. Date completed August 19, 2013. 

2013 - 189

Project 189 is my third Curlicue Coverlet. I used Berroco BoHo purchased at TKGV's yarn yard sale last year. The pattern can be purchased on Ravelry. Date completed August 9, 2013. This was entered in TKGV's 2013 knitting competition but it did not win any prizes.

2013 - 188

Project number 188 was a cow dishcloth for a swap. It was a free pattern on Ravelry and I used some stash yarn given to me in another swap. Date completed August 8, 2013.
