2011 Projects

Here are a few more wraps that I finished in 2011 but haven't posted yet. This pattern is called Squares and Stripes Lace Shawl and I made it out of Fiesta Gelato and Fiesta La Boheme Starburst in the October Rio de Janeiro color way that I got at The Knitting Corner. It was a pretty quick knit and Sue helped me block it. I get a lot of compliments on it but I think it's the colors that make it so striking!
This is a large mitered wrap that I kind-of came up with myself. The pink-purple-green variegated yarns are from the Sheep and Wool Festival Carrie and I went to last May. The solid green yarn is Cascade Pima Cotton that I bought from The Knitting Corner. I also get a lot of compliments on this wrap and the directions are now typed up and available at the shop.

Art Yarn Shawlette

Here is the Live Oak Shawlette I made out of creamy white art yarn. The yarn is silk and mohair with a strand of silver glitter and the pattern was in the Fall 2011 KnitScene.

It turned out really nice and there was yarn left over to make some matching fingerless mitts (which I have yet to complete). Anyway, we get lots of comments from customers so I think it's a good display for the shop.
