January 25, 2015 - Oak Grove Lake Park

No finished projects today but I got some cool pictures while we walked around Oak Grove Lake Park. I love my new camera!! (A Christmas/graduation gift to myself!) It takes great wildlife pictures!

January 13, 2015 - 9 through 12

My second visit to Project Comfort, which was just as fun as the first, however, I was determined to be more focused and productive this time. I made four quilts before leaving early to go to work (all four were the same panel so I only took one photo). This is definitely a great ministry that I look forward to helping with on a regular basis this year!! :)

January 6, 2015 - 4 through 8

My first visit to Project Comfort at First Baptist Norfolk, a haven of fellowship and sewing with other women just as passionate as me. I was able to finish up four quilts and 1 pillowcase while chatting and getting to know the other ladies. They are planning a road trip in February to several fabric shops in North Carolina. Sounds like so much fun but I think I will focus on using up what I have for now and go with them next year! :)

January 8, 2015 - 3

My third project for 2015 was Carrie's January socks. The pattern is 'Quickie Socks' from The Joy of Socks. I used some leftover skeins of Universal Yarn worsted superwash wool and size 6 dpn's. These were started back in December but finished in January so they count towards my resolution to knit 15 pairs of socks or sock yarn projects in 2015. :)

January 3, 2015 - 2

My second project for 2015 was a second attempt at my shadow kitting design using a different yarn and needle. This way people can easily choose between a big or small finished cloth depending on the yarn and needles they use. This cloth was made our of stashed Sugar n' Cream yarn and size 8 needles.

January 1, 2015 - 1

My first project of 2015 was designing a shadow knitting washcloth for the class I'm teaching at the Tidewater Knitting Guild's 3rd Annual Retreat in March. It took a few tries but I finally came up with something that is fun but still easy. I used up so stashed Rowena Cotton Glace and size 6 needles.
